Figuring out if your clothes fit just right can be tricky, especially when you’re growing as fast as a 12-year-old! You want your Goofy Shirts to be comfortable enough to play in, but not look like hand-me-downs from your big brother. Follow this cheat sheet to get the inside scoop on getting the perfect fit for your Goofy Tees.
The shoulder seams on your should line up with the edge of your actual shoulders, where your shoulder ends and your arm begins. If you see the seams hanging off your shoulders, that shirt is too big for you. It’ll look like you’re swimming in it! On the other hand, if the seams are sitting closer to your neck, the shirt is too small. The collar will be choking you and the sleeves will be super tight.
Imagine a line halfway between your armpit and elbow - that’s where the sleeves should hit. They’ll graze your bicep without cutting into your arm or being as tight as the Spandex stuff Mom wears to yoga. Baggy, loose sleeves that flap in the wind when you wave your arms = too big. Sleeves that leave red marks on your skin from being too tight = too small.

When you look in the mirror, you should be able to pinch about two or three inches of shirt fabric on either side of your stomach region. If you can barely pinch an inch, that Goofy Shirt is being way too clingy! If you’re pinching what seems like a foot of fabric, it’s way too loose and baggy. Not a good look, dude.
When you’ve got the right size Goofy Shirt on, the bottom hem should come to the middle of your fly, about two inches below your waistband. If the shirt is so short that your belly button makes a guest appearance every time you lift your arms, it’s too small. Same goes for shirts that cover your back pockets. You don’t want to look like you’re wearing a nightgown!
The collar on your Goofy Tees should fit cozily around your neck without choking you. For crew neck shirts, see if the neckline rests near your collarbone. Stand up straight and hold your head high. If the collar is digging into your neck, leaving red marks, it’s too tight. If it’s gaping open so big that your whole shoulder could fit through, it’s too loose.

Bend, twist, jump, and dance! You’ve gotta make sure you have a full range of motion in your Goofy Tees. Sit criss-cross-applesauce on the floor and reach for the sky to really test it out. If the shirts are constantly riding up over your belly, getting twisted, or feeling tight and restricted around your pits, something’s not right.
If you’re still unsure about the fit of your new Goofy Shirts, try them on next to a t-shirt you already know and love. See how the sizing compares - are they about the same? Your body type and personal style matters too. If you like a slimmer fit, maybe size down. If you’re all about those oversized, comfy vibes, consider sizing up.
Finding the perfect fitting tee takes some trial and error. But use these tips as a guideline, throw in a few goofy dance moves, and you’ll be rockin’ awesome Goofy Shirts in no time!
